Can Diabetes Be Reversed or Cured

Author's Perspective: Although there is no medically-approved cure for Type 2 diabetes, there is a lot of evidence that indicates that you can definitely stop the progression of the disease and prevent the development of the complications  such as amputation, kidney failure, and blindness. In addition, there is evidence that you can reverse the cellular and tissue damage caused by the diabetes and its complications -- as long as your body obtains the key nutrients to facilitate the healing and repair processes.

There is a lot of disagreements in the worlds of Western Medicine and Alternative Medicine concerning how and whether Type 2 diabetes can be controlled, reversed or cured. But, before addressing that, we need to define the following terms: controlled, stopped, reversed, and cured.

"Controlled" indicates that the disease is being managed consistently within the normal range for blood glucose levels (i.e. 80 to 100 mg/dl) and hemoglobin A1C (i.e. less than 5.5%). Diabetes can be controlled artificially with diabetic medications ornaturally with low-glycemic foods. When diabetes is controlled artificially with diabetic medications, the disease continues to progress and does not stop the progression and development of various diabetic complications such as blindness, kidney failure, and amputation. When diabetes is controlled naturally with low-glycemic (plant-based) foods, the progression of  disease is slowed down, but, it doesn't stop the development of various diabetic complications such as blindness, kidney failure, and amputation.

"Stopped" indicates that the disease has has stopped progressing and has gone beyond being controlled or managed consistently within the normal range for blood glucose levels and hemoglobin A1C. "Stopped" indicates that the disease has stopped causing damage to the cells, tissues, and organs. When the progression of  disease has gone beyond being slowed down, and, is stopped, this sets the stage to actually reverse the disease.

"Reversed" indicates that the disease has more than just "stopped" progressing or is beyond just being managed consistently within the normal range for blood glucose levels and hemoglobin A1C. "Reversed" indicates that certain aspects of the disease pathology has been repaired at the cellular level. Also, additional key blood tests (such as blood pressure, cholesterol, A1C, inflammation markers) are within their normal ranges. Please keep in mind that diabetes cannot be reversed artificially with diabetic medications. Diabetes can only be reversed naturally with plant-based foods that contain the proper nutrients that prevent the progression of the disease and its complications such as blindness, kidney failure, and amputation.

"Cured" indicates that the disease pathology no longer exists in the body at the cellular level. For example, if a diabetic is "cured", then, that person can eat high glycemic foods and not experience extreme or sustained high levels of blood glucose and A1C. In addition, other key blood tests (such as blood pressure, cholesterol, inflammation markers) are within their normal ranges.

Please Note 1: There are other medical tests and blood test parameters/metrics (such as standard deviations) that we use to "quantify" the above terms. However, we purposely do not share everything here because others are misusing our data and misrepresenting what we're trying to do for all diabetics.

Please Note 2: We agree that no "official cure" for diabetes has been publicly announced -- but, that doesn't mean that no cure exists! And, even though there is no medically-approved cure for Type 2 diabetes, does that mean we should stick our heads in the sand and continue to ignore all of the anecdotal data?  Should we be satisfied with taking toxic drugs that do very little to stop the disease from getting worse?

Another point: Since most of us can agree that doctors are pretty smart people, why hasn't at least one of these smart people found a cure yet? Answer: It wouldn't be financially beneficial to the medical industry and pharmaceutical industry if they publicly announced that a cure exists! Instead, it is financially advantageous to keep the public in the dark and "treat" the disease with their expensive prescription drugs.

And why do some healthcare professionals get upset when someone announces that they have reversed their diabetes or that they have helped others to reverse their diabetes? (and, have the evidence to prove it!). If reversing one's diabetes is so ridiculous, why do they get so upset and angry? Could it be that they feel insecure or threatened by the truth?

More About Controlled, Stopped, Reversed, and Cured
Healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, diabetes educators, and others receive their formal education from various universities and colleges. During their education process, they are taught how to treat most diseases with various drugs.

Interestingly, many of the universities and colleges receive funding from thepharmaceutical industry, giving this industry the "right" and the power to dictate course curriculum!  Of course, no one is going to admit this, but, thinkabout it: With all of these smart and educated people, not one single doctor or healthcare professional believes that there is or could be a cure for a disease such as Type 2 diabetes?  Really?

The above was the perspective of most medical experts concerning Type 2 diabetes several years ago. But, slowly and gradually, their thinking has begun to change!

Growing Number of People Reversing Their Diabetes
More and more people are reversing their diabetes every day. Unfortunately, some of our clients (before they found us) were burned by several "cure diabetes" programs that made promises that they couldn't keep. The promises included being able to reverse your diabetes in 6 weeks, 30 days, 1 week, and even 3 days! Are you kidding me??

For any of you who understand the science of diabetes pathology, you know that you can't get rid of diabetes in less than 90-180 days because of the time it takes your body to turn over your red blood cells and repair the other damaged cells.

But, unfortunately, the average person does not have a science background. And, these companies and some of these doctors know that you lack the knowledge about science pathology. So, they take advantage of your lack of knowledge and lure you in with their empty promises and false money back guarantees.

Read this web page to learn who are the doctors that are now saying that Type 2 diabetes is reversible.

If you're not sure whether the programs that you're researching are scams, then, readthis web page so that you will understand how to recognize a scam before you spend your money.

To be objective, since diabetes is more than a “blood sugar” problem, you must get other blood test parameters back into their normal ranges to even consider that you are in the process of reversing your diabetes.

And, although blood glucose control is a key strategy, there is more to getting your diabetes “under control” before you can begin thinking about “beating” or “reversing” your diabetes!

You must get other key blood test parameters under control, including blood pressure, cholesterol, insulin levels, body composition, inflammation markers, and other hormonal levels.

If you don’t get these areas under control, it will not be possible to slow down the progression of your diabetes let alone reverse your diabetes.

Any wellness program that promises to “magically” reverse your diabetes without a measured, structured and systematic strategy will leave you disappointed, angry and frustrated.

Key Point: In addition, in order to provide a real remedy for diabetes, the remedy must address the disease at the cellular level.

For more information about reversing your diabetes and actually measuring it, read the Death to Diabetes book, Chapters 14 and 15, especially the sections that discuss Stage 5 and Stage 6 of the wellness program, and the key blood test and hormone measurements.

Can Type 2 Diabetes Be Cured?
Having Type 2 diabetes is like your body being in a terrible car accident that damages your liver, kidneys, blood vessels, and other vital organs. You can help your body repair the damage, but that doesn't take away the fact that you were in a terrible car accident. So, you can recover from the damage caused by the car accident, but it doesn't fully eliminate the fact that you were in a car accidient and that you must be careful in the future not to be another accident.

As a result, you must continue to feed and nourish your body to ensure that it doesn't break down in the future.

Being completely cured implies that you can return to your previous wreckless habits, and not feel the effects. But, that's just not the case with diabetes, or any chronic deteriorating disease for that matter.

The bottom line here is that you must continue to eat healthy to stay healthy. However, you can enjoy some of those comfort foods every once in a while without causing any major damage.
